First Time at Bandera MC?

We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing... Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a strangely paralyzing thought! At Bandera MC, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.

What You Can Expect . . .

On Sundays, you can expect a friendly welcome, a dynamic service, and relevant teaching.  We gather collectively as a church to worship Jesus and for discipleship by hearing about Jesus from the Bible, worshiping Jesus through song and giving, and serving one another through community and prayer.

Worship is our primary means to glorify the mystery and majesty of God. Our style includes a variety of traditional and contemporary elements. There is a special time for children during each service and an overall emphasis is placed on the transforming nature of our relationship with God in Jesus Christ for all worshipers.

  • Holy Communion

We have an open table for the sacrament of Holy Communion whereby all persons regardless of their church home or denomination are invited to receive the elements of bread and drink symbolizing the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Children of all ages are welcome to receive Holy Communion, or at the discretion of a parent/guardian, may receive a blessing from the pastor instead. Our congregation celebrates Holy Communion every Sunday in both services.

  • Baptism

The sacrament of baptism initiates us into Christ's holy church and the gathered community responds in faith to God's grace by claiming and incorporating each newly baptized member into the local fellowship as well as the universal Christian church. We baptize persons by any mode used by the Christian church (sprinkling, pouring, or immersion) and persons of any age (including infants and children) are suitable candidates for baptism.  If you would like to speak to someone about being baptized, please follow this link.

  • Children in Worship

WE LOVE CHILDREN. We love children to join us in worship - we actually enjoy the wiggles and giggles that come with children and we believe children are a blessing from God.  We also provide a professionally staffed nursery during both of our worship services - children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten can enjoy toys, books, and games while in our care.  We are passionate about creating an environment that is safe, age-appropriate and fun where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way allowing children to grow in their relationship with Christ.  Therefore, we provide a Children's Message during both worship services where any children that want to can come forward and hear a message geared specifically for them.

  • Giving Our Gifts

Each week we provide an opportunity for people to make a financial investment in the mission and ministries of the church. However, please do not feel obligated to give.  If you are not prepared to give in this way just yet, when the plate comes around, you can just pass it on or you can place the guest card in as your offering. There is never a fee to attend service!
